The following provides high level information on the range of regular events BSCC is involved in:

BSCC Events (Planned and run by BSCC);
Partner Events (Planned and run by one of our Partners with BSCC providing transport) or
Joint Events (Planned by Partners, but with BSCC Event Support and Transport).

Strathspey Visually Impaired Support Group

An opportunity for anyone with a visual impairment to meet up with others. We meet together to provide help and support but also to form friendships and have fun together.

We also arrange several outings throughout the year.

Joint Event: Regular meetings, 2nd Monday of the month, Rothimurchus Church Hall, 11:00-13:00. Lunch Provided.

Badenoch and Strathspey Therapy Gardens

Partner Event: Our aim is to provide social and therapeutic horticultural activities in a safe and supportive environment for all members of the community, where everyone will be treated with respect.. Open to all.

Aviemore Hospital Gardens: Mondays, Fridays (Seasonal, Times vary).
Kingussie Allotments: Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Seasonal, Times vary).

Otago Exercise Class

Partner Event: An exercise class aimed to prevent falls, injuries and improve cognition among older people, working on increasing strength, balance and flexibility.

Aviemore Community Centre

Mondays between 13:00 and 15:00.
Fridays between 10:00 and 11:30

Open to all at the Aviemore Community Centre.

Storylands Sessions

Partner Event: Tales and Tunes Come Together in Monthly Live Events in Badenoch.

Kincraig Church Hall on the second Tuesday of the month. 18:00-19:00 PM.

BSCC Event: Come along for a chat and get your hands dirty in our Allotment. Grow and harvest all sorts of produce.

Assisted Shopping

BSCC Event: A Door to Door service taking passengers who may need support to do shopping to the supermarket and assisting them throughout the process. Subject to requirements and availability of support volunteers.

Indoor Kurling Sessions

BSCC Event: Come along and try our fun indoor Kurling sessions. Come along for a single session, or join us for a 4 week fun competition block.

Sessions start in April, each Wednesday afternoon, typically 2-4pm at Boat of Garten Community Hall.
